Mary Hamilton is associate counsel with Davis LLP and leads the firm's Wills, Estates and Trusts group. Mary has almost 25 years of experience in matters relating to wills, trusts and estate administration. She has held senior positions with the various wills, estates and trusts groups in Vancouver and was named Vancouver Trusts and Estates Lawyer of the Year 2011 by the Best Lawyers organization.
Mary is generally considered the best lawyer available for advising executors, administrators and trustees about the probate process, and for administration of estates and trusts. She is also highly sought-after for the preparation of powers of attorney, nominations of committee and representation agreements, and for advising attorneys, committees and representatives about their roles and responsibilities.
Mary lectures frequently to client groups and to lawyers on topics pertaining to wills, estates and incapacity. Positions are available working with a team to provide intensive, one-on-one therapy to a 16 year old boy with autism. Experience working with autistic children would be helpful but is not required. All training will be provided under the supervision of Sharon Baxter (MA,BCBA) and Intern Julee Bisiker.
Therapy will take place in our home in West Vancouver. Therapists should be able to commit to 2-3 shifts per week in addition to one Team Meeting (2hours) per month. Therapist pay will be based on experience.
Program focuses mainly on functional communication and life and leisure skills both in the home and in the community. Must have your own vehicle and be willing to do outings. We are looking for someone who is energetic, dedicated and works well on their own as well as being a good team member.
These positions will appeal particularly to people with an interest in education, special education, speech/language pathology, psychology and clinical therapy. Other families in our area are looking for trained therapists to work with their children. Once you are trained, there will be no shortage of employment opportunities!

Patience and commitmentYou must be able to work at least 2 sessions a week, as well as attend monthly team meetings (usually on Sunday afternoons). Sessions are approximately 2 hours long with flexible hours. Training and supervision will be provided by a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst. You must be able to make at least a 1 year commitment, be at least 19 years of age, and have (or be willing to complete) a criminal record check.

Positions are available working with a team to provide intensive one on one behavioral therapy for an 15-year-old mildly autistic, intelligent boy.
No experience is required. Under Nate Searle of Able Clinic, all Training will be provided in the Lovaas method of Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA), an intensive behavioral program where the children are systematically taught what other children learn intuitively from their family and peers.
These positions will appeal to people with an interest in psychology, education, special education, speech/language pathology and clinical therapy. It is a fabulously rewarding to see a young childs world expand and to know that you are helping that child participate fully in their environment.
Other families in the Vancouver area are looking for trained therapists to work with their children. Once trained, there will be no shortage of employment opportunities!

I am looking for a BI to work with my 10 year high functioning son. He is very fun and energetic, but usually needs support socially and emotionally. His at-home program focusses mainly on social communication. Training and supervision will be provided. Must have own vehicle and be willing to do outings. We live in the Port Coquitlam area. The ideal candidate would be someone who:
– has lots of energy and excellent communication skills
– has an outgoing, fun personality
– has previous experience working with children with special needs, ideally those on the autism spectrum, and those with challenging behaviours
– is able to commit to Tuesday afternoons (for approx 3 hours after school) and be available to do some additional shifts would be ideal
– can attend some team meetings
– is reliable and has a strong work ethic
– has a current criminal check
– is willing to provide a current copy of driver's abstract
