Burnaby family looking for individuals who are willing to be trained as home therapists now and become future job-couches/support workers starting 2014.
My son is now 18 years old, and he has been involved in an intensive ABA program for 14 years.
Not high-functioning. After finishing high school in 2014, he will need one-on-one job-coaches and support workers who take him to do volunteer works and leisure activities following ABA program.If you are interested in this position, you need to be trained as a home therapist first in 2013.
Training and Requirements as home therapist:
* Training will begin immediately in the home program.
* The selected individual must work at home for min 2 shifts per week, including weekends
* Attendance at monthly team meetings is mandatory.
* Experience supporting people with autism in inclusive settings is an asset.
*Psychology/education-majored students,graduates are preferred. No experience required.
* driver license required

Part Time ABA Support Worker for September in South SurreyWe are looking for someone either currently working in the Surrey School District or who has 1000 hours of home experience and interested in applying to work in the district to make a match with our son.
He is a high functioning, low behavior child who will be going into grade 3. He currently has a 20 hour position and he attends an excellent, ABA friendly school in South Surrey. This is an opportunity to work with an experienced, involved and supportive family, on a team supervised by Leah Mumford and Sara White.
A trial period and familiarization will be required along with the willingness to be involved in his home program from now until September.

Our son is a happy boy with interests in music, drums and piano, taking pictures and recording videos, computer wiz, as well as loving ice skating and roller-skating, swimming, rock climbing and playing outside. He has difficulty expressing himself and socializing with peers.
Training will be provided under the supervision of our certified BCBA behaviour consultant. Your role will be to systematically and scientifically teach our son communication, social and behavioural skills. You are required to collect data throughout your one on one session and at a monthly team meeting discuss the progress of the programs with the team. You will work one-on-one with our son both in-home and in the community to support his social language development, peer interactions and perspective communication skills.
Ideal for final year college students (especially those in psychology, social work or education).
The position is part time for the next 4 months and summer and hopefully full time during the next school year. Pay is commensurate with experience.Applicants must:
– be responsible and energetic with strong communication skills
– be at least 19 years old
– have some experience working with children
– have a clear criminal record check

He is under treatment in a centre, which is currently looking for more BIs, so the time you are not with my kid, you have other clients in the centre needing BI hours as well.

I plan on going to Surrey College and taking The Applied Behavior Analysis Support Worker Certificate Program and would like to start working one-on-one with a child as a Behavior Interventionist. My goal is to eventually work full-time in the school district.
Im a nurturing, caring, compassionate person who is very excited to be entering the ABA field. Im also a journalism graduate and a certified hairdresser. I have over five-years experience working in a daycare and Im thrilled to start working with children again.
I need to start accumulating hours for my schooling and I would like to begin by working 8 to 10 hours a week in a team.
I live in the South Surrey area and I have a Little One at home, which does affect my availability. I hope to find a good match. Ideally, most shifts would be no longer than three hours.
Im available Mondays to Fridays 9:15 to 1:45, and on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:30 p.m.to 8 p.m.
Im flexible when it comes to team meetings as long as its scheduled in advance.
