MemberEducational Assistant Position in Catholic Ladner School!
We are looking for the right candidate to work 1:1 with our 7 year old daughter as her full time aide in Grade 1 next year. Our daughter is bright, sociable, energetic, and loves to learn. Her home based ABA program has been running for almost 5 years now and we have seen extraordinary progress.
The right candidate for this position will have ABA experience and must feel comfortable applying ABA strategies on a daily basis. They will also have current and/or recent experience working with a child on the autism spectrum either on a home based therapy team or within a school based setting. The focus of support for our daughter is around academic adaptations and some 1:1 teaching. She also requires social support within the classroom and on the playground. The right candidate will be expected to implement behaviour support strategies provided by our behaviour consultant Michele Shilvock, BCBA and record daily data. Experience working in a school is an asset, but not a requirement. The candidate must also be comfortable handling dogs as our daughter has an autism support dog that accompanies her to school.
This position is 7 hours per day 5 days per week for a total of 35
hours. This is a salaried position with a competitive rate of pay and
the option of a benefits package. The position would be set to
commence in September 2016 however, we would like to do training over the summer months in preparation for school starting. MemberExperienced BI needed for home based ABA program in Delta.
We are looking for one more behavior interventionist to join our well established, awesome team! Experience with ABA would be considered an asset however, if you are the right person, we are prepared to provide the training necessary to have you become a valuable member of our team.
Our five year old daughter is bright, sociable, energetic, and loves to learn. Her home based ABA program has been up and running for three years now and we have seen great and exciting progress!
We work under the guidance of Michele Shilvock with Harmony House CARES and our daughter currently attends a public preschool five days per week under their directive.
Initial training will be provided by a senior BI and monthly overlap sessions will be scheduled with a senior team member and/or consultant to ensure home programs are running smoothly.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: running sessions on your own, attending monthly team meetings, attending overlap sessions with our consultant, and data recording.
You must be FUN, responsible, dedicated, and creative! Strong play skills are essential and you must also have a positive attitude, and LOTS of energy and patience. You are a good multitasker, are organized, enthusiastic and responsible.
A current criminal record check and references will be required. Salary will be negotiable based on experience and performance.
We live in Ladner, two minutes through the tunnel. We are currently looking for someone who can work at least two afternoons per week on either Tuesday, Thursday or Friday afternoon. We are also currently searching for someone who could potentially work towards a goal of being our daughters support assistant next September when she is due to start Kindergarten.

MemberLOOKING FOR ABA THERAPIST(S) IN LADNER
We are a family looking for one to two therapists to join our developing team and work with our daughter who was recently diagnosed as on the autism spectrum. She is 2.5 years old; very sociable, bright, and emotive; and currently non-verbal.
Our consultant is local and creates all the programs for us and provides ongoing supervision and training, so this would be a great opportunity for applicants who welcome frequent overlaps and opportunities to further develop their skills. Therapy is to be play-based and naturalistic, but rooted in ABA.
Applicants with early child education or ABA experience are preferred but we WILL also consider applicants who work well with young children, are enthusiastic, motivated, and willing to learn. You must be dependable and willing to commit to six months to start. Applicants must be minimum 19yrs of age and be willing to submit to a criminal background check. Attendance at bi-weekly team meetings will also be required. Salary is negotiable and based on experience.
