    Hello:

I am currently posting from Ontario. We will be moving to Vancouver (Pt. Grey area) in July. My son, Sebastien, is 10 years old and has been in an ABA program supervised by Autism Partnership for the past 6.5 years. While we are well aware of how things run (or don't run) in Ontario (we are part of the ongoing court case similar to Auton), we are entering uncharted territory come this summer. I am very nervous to be giving up all therapists, consultant, school system and financial support at once. I have a series of questions and would greatly appreciate any assistance:

1/ how do I go about securing any form of government funding for both at home support and school support? I think we'll need to do this from here, as most deadlines are in March.

2/ Does anyone have suggestions for consultants available in Vancouver who work with older children in the school system?

I'll leave it at that for now. Thanks in advance for any help!

    Suzanne
