I just want to say thank you to all that replied to my advertisement looking for a BI job on here. I regret to inform you that I have broken my pointer finger so I am unable to work (or really do anything) for the next 6-8 weeks. I will re-post on here when I'm better. Thanks so much.
Robyn GordonMemberPS. I live in Dunbar, Vancouver and would prefer to work relatively close to where I'm located (Kerrisdale, Kits, UBC, etc, south granville) as I do have to get to UBC at specific times. Thanks
Robyn GordonMemberVery energetic, enthusiastic, and experienced BI looking to join a great team and family. I graduated with my Psychology degree in 2007 from UBC-Okanagan (in Kelowna). Then I started working with children with Autism and their families, as well as various other special needs children, as a BI (at a child development center and privately), as a Certified Education Assistant, and as a Supported Childcare Worker for 5 years. I just moved to Vancouver in September in order to take the prerequisite linguistics courses at UBC for the Speech-Language Pathology masters program. I only have school a few hours per day in the afternoon.
I am looking for a BI position with a great family or a supported childcare worker (or SEA) position at the school district working with a child with Autism. I am serious about making a difference in children's lives. I have a recent first aid certificate, a drivers licence and a car, and much experience working in multidisciplinary teams. I am looking for a position in the mornings until about 12:30pm, after 5pm, and/or some weekends.
Looking forward to hearing from you! Please email me at robyngordon83@hotmail.com.
