Hello Everyone, I just wanted to let you all know that I have received a package from FEAT and the Autism Society. Wow lots of info to read but I am so happy to have them. I also have a lady from I.D.P. coming in on Tuesday. Again very excited about all of this. I just had to share with you. As I know you have all been where I am now. I do have another question for you all. I was wondering who has been to see Dr. Melvin DeLevie. Is he a good doctor to take Ty to? Thank you again for your time and energy on the questions I ask. Hello Everyone, I have a few questions for you (again). I was wondering if anyone in the group who lives in Surrey/White Rock or Langley areas would let my husband Jay and I sit in on a session or two with your child to see how it all works. The second question is that I was wondering if anyone in the guildford area would need someone to watch thier child(ren) while they are having a session. I am looking for a job that will keep me at home with my two. Thank you and have a great Wednesday. Melodie

Hello All, I have a question for you… Dr. Ward (in White Rock) is sending my son for a hearing test (apr.19th), while we wait for his other tests. I was wondering if they can tell that a child is autistic from a hearing test? Someone had told me they can but I wanted to ask all of you who would know better. Hope you all are having a great day. Hello Graham & Thor, Thank you very much for your responce to my opening letter to the group. May I ask a couple of question… I was wondering how much all of the ABA therapy costs per month as I am on social assistance and haven't any money at all. I did try to talk with my worker and she informed me that we will have to pay for everything including the test. Do you know if any of this is true? I am worried that Ty will not receive the care he may need or that someone will want to take him from me just because I do not have money for therapy etc.. Thank you again for taking the time to write to me. Melodie & Ty

Hello, I am very new to all of this and am not sure where to start. My son Ty is waiting to be tested for autism. The doctor told me that if he is autistic… he is not very autistic. I am not sure what that means. I am not sure of the questions I should be asking him… and sometimes when I leave his office I feel more mixed up than ever. If anyone can tell me what it was like before your child was tested or any advice at all for me I would love to hear from you. Thank you for your time, Melodie
