Ok, so….I know you have all probubally read this about a hundred times, but, I am so lost I dont know which way to go. My 22 month old son was just diagnosed last week with autism. I have been told by many people that early intervention is fantastic, so I feel hopeful. I do know some basic thing about what to do, ( like find a bahavior consultant and build a team) I was wondering if there are any families out there who can recomend certain consultants, or perhaps ones to stay away from. I see that there tends to be a wait list no matter who I go to. what can I do with my son in the mean time? I really feel like time is being waisted. Also, can someone explain what this ABA program is I keep reading about? ( I live in Langley, BC, so any consultants in the lowermain land would be preferred) Any advice or anything would really help me right now. Thanks, Kelly.
