Hazelwood Early Learning Centre is a childcare program located in Port Coquitlam. We are looking to add 2 qualified support workers to our team. Support Worker 1- PT with full time potential (24 hours – 40 hours) to provide 1-1 support for a 5-year-old child with Autism. Support Worker 2 – PT/ 24 hours per week to provide 1-1 support for a 4-year-old child.

The successful candidate will require: ABA Training / Behaviour Interventionist Training Current First Aid Training Minimum of 2 years experience Criminal Record Check Doctor’s note stating physical/mental ability to work with children Preferred candidates will also have: • Early Childhood Education Certificate • Special Needs Diploma • Experience using Ipad software for non verbal communication.

A suitable candidate will: • Provide evidence of strong interpersonal skills • Demonstrate exceptional teamwork and collaboration • Be willing to participate and collaborate with home team • Attend home team meetings and observations along with possible extended training • Have experience planning quality experiences for children on the spectrum • Enjoy working outdoors in all weather. We are looking for a BI to join our team ASAP for our fun, outgoing 14 year old son. Sessions will be once to twice a week afterschool hours or weekends. We are located in port coquitlam and sessions can be in the home or taken out into the community.

ABA experience is definitely preferred, but not necessary. Full training will be provided on site by our consultant, and lead therapist.
