We are pleased to welcome Bohdanna Popowycz Kvam, Nicole Kaler and Sarah Pastrana from Harmony House to speak at our October meeting.

    About Harmony House
Harmony House CARES (Centre for Autism Research Education Society) was established for several purposes. The first was to establish an inclusive preschool integrating children with autism with their typical peers. The idea is to facilitate an environment that encourages friendships on all levels prior to the elementary years. This pilot project includes 4 children with autism supported full time by highly trained ABA aides and up to 10 children without a diagnosis. The goal is to benefit all children by providing a school enriched by monthly themes, structured daily centres and creative and exciting circle times.

Our next goal is to provide parents with children in elementary and high school with a choice for their children with ASD’s educational needs. The Harmony House elementary school will be an ABA school providing children with education in collaboration with schools, full time or whatever portion of time the child requires to match with other public education. Our aim is not to replace the public school but to allow choice and re-integration when appropriate on an individual case by case basis.

    Refreshments will be provided.
We hope to see you there.
