Needed: ABASW in a Fleetwood area elementary school starting in September – either already working for the Surrey School District or looking to be hired in Surrey. We would also love for the candidate to join our home team right away and work with our son over the summer. The number of hours to be worked over the summer is negotiable.

We are looking for someone either currently working in the Surrey School District or who has 1000 hours of home experience and who is interested in applying to work in the district to make a match with our son. (The 1000 hours is a requirement of the Surrey School District and non-negotiable).

Our son is 5 years old and is very high functioning. He is sweet, intelligent, very verbal, and has a great love of life. He struggles with social situations, transitions, and often doesn't recognize safety risks. He started reading when he was three and loves stories, poetry, and learning grammar. He also loves doing crafts and creating stories. He is a very funny and affectionate child.

We are an experienced, involved, and supportive family working with a well established team in the Fleetwood area of Surrey.

If you are interested, please email your information. We look forward to hearing from you.

I am looking for advice and/or info from your experiences. I am wondering if anyone has had success getting their taxes reevaluated form the birth of your child.

I was successful getting my son the disability tax credit but only from 2009 which is when we first saw his pediatrician. He was born in 2007 so technically, we should be able to get it backdated until then. However, if there is no hope of this happening, I will not pursue it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. My email address is spuffyobsessed@gmail.com

    Thanks,
    Lisa

I filled out the survey regarding summer camp and wanted to say that we would be very interested in sending our 5 year old son.

I am hoping to get some advice from parents who have been through this before. My son is 5 years old and we are currently running an ABA program in our home 5 days a week. Lyric is responding wonderfully to the program and we want to keep the program running as long as possible.

However, in July next year, he will turn 6 and then our funding will significanlty drop. If parents out there are finding ways to keep running home ABA programs even after age 6, could you offer some advice on how you are funding them. Is it possible to get more funding than the $6000.00?

Thanks in advance for any and all advice. My email address is spuffyobsessed@gmail.com
