Attention FEAT Members living in the Whistler area and the Sunshine Coast:
Whistler: All candidates Meeting on Thursday, January 19th @ 6:00 p.m. at the Whistler Secondary School, in the multi-purpose room.
Take photocopies of the survey results which will be published in the Whistler Question paper on January 19th. Hand them out to people as they enter the meeting.
Roberts Creek: All candidates meeting on Friday, January 20th at the Roberts Creek Community Centre @ 7:00 p.m.
Once again, take photocopies of our survey results which will be published in the Coast paper of Friday, January 20th. Hand them out to people as they go in.

Check-out page 20 of today's (Sunday, Jan. 15th) North Shore News. The FEAT ad. identifying the candidates who have committed to giving active unqualifed support to legislation which will ammend the Canada Health Act as proposed in Bill C-459 have been printed.
Take photocopies of the ad. to distribute at the All Candidates Meetings. We recommend you arrive 30-40 minutes prior to each meeting with copies of the ad. to hand-out to people as they enter the meetings.

The results of our "Medicare for Autism NOw!" initiative in these two ridings are as follows:

Sherry Shaghagi, NDP, North VancouverTo be clear, the candidates in the YES column committed to active, unqualified support to the passage of legislation that would ammend the Canada Health Act as proposed in Bill C-459 introduced on November 28, 2005.
The candidates in the NO column, unanimously "felt our pain" but would not break with their party's policy.
The candidate in the DON'T CARE column, didn't respond to several attempts to meet and a variety of emails requesting a response.
The above results will be printed in the North Shore News on Sunday, January 15th. The Squamish Chief, The Whistler Question, The Powell River Peak and The Sunshine Coaster starting Jan. 18, 19 and 20.
Please make sure all your friends and family living in these two ridings are made aware of how these candidates chose and encourage them to support the candidate who committed to actively supporting legislation to include our childrens medically necessary treatment into Medicare.
I will be posting an email version of the ad on this board within a couple of days, which can used by you to send to your own distribution lists.
On a related matter: It is extremely important now for FEAT members to attend the All Candidates meetings. Thankyou to those who have already attended in Surrey, Langley, Roberts Creek etc. Following is a list of All Candidates Meetings for West Vancouver Sunshine-Coast:

About 100 people attended the Vancouver rally at the Vancouver Public Library. My heartfelt thanks to all who organized and participated; special thanks to Justin Himmelright, David Chan, Nancy Walton, Debra Antifaev, Bev Sharpe, Jenny Obando, Sabrina Freeman and everyone else who took the time to come out and support our children.
As I said today, we've made some considerable gains but we still have a long way to go, so stay in touch, stay connected, and keep working and helping each other…and remember….

The joint Autism Society of B.C. and the F.E.A.T. of B.C. meeting: "So – you want to be my child's MP" scheduled for this evening, Tuesday, Oct. 25th has been cancelled.
It will be re-scheduled once a Federal election has been called.
