Posting on behalf of a family:

Positions are available working with our home ABA team to provide support and one-on-one therapy to a charming and good-natured 19 year old boy with autism. Experience working with individuals with autism would be helpful but is not required. All training will be provided under the supervision of the capable and passionate Julee Bassetto, M.Ed., BCBA in association with Dr. Claire Egan, BCBA.
Therapy will take place in our home in West Vancouver, 3 minutes from the upper levels hwy, Caulfield exit. Therapists should be able to commit to approximately 6-8 hours per week in addition to one Team Meeting (2hours) per month. We ask that you make a minimum 1 year commitment and therapist pay will be based on experience.
Program focuses mainly on functional communication, life and leisure skills both in the home and the community. Must have your own vehicle, be willing to do outings, and provide a current criminal record check. We are looking for someone who is positive, energetic, dedicated and works well on their own as well as being a good team member.
These positions will appeal particularly to people with an interest in education, special education, speech/language pathology, psychology and clinical therapy. This is a great opportunity to receive training and hands on experience in ABA therapy with minimal initial qualifications. Once you are trained, there will be no shortage of employment opportunities!
Please email your resume to carlaromaniuk@shaw.ca. Telephone inquiries are also welcome at 604-926-8884.
