We are looking for a lunchtime Aide to support our son at School. Our son is in grade 2 at Collingwood School, in West Vancouver. We would like to hire someone to remain discretely in the background and monitor his social interactions with his peers.
This position would be ideal for someone already working on the North Shore, perhaps in between their therapy sessions. The hours would be Monday through Friday from 12:00 – 1:00. ABA experience would be nice, but not necessary.
If interested, please contact Debra at (604) 913-0881 or email a resume to djappy@yahoo.com. A criminal record check will be necessary as it is requested by our school.
Debra JappyMemberHi,

Debra JappyMemberWe are looking for a fun-loving and PLAYFUL therapist to join our Lovaas ABA team. Our son is five years old and has been doing his program for 16 months. He is high-functioning and is making tremendous progress. He is affectionate, fun and engaging.
You will be trained under a behavioral consultant directly from the Lovaas Institute in Los Angeles. This is invaluable training and will be a great asset for students entering this field.
We are looking for someone to take two or three shifts a week, one of them being on the weekend. Shifts are generally 3 1/2 to 4 hours in length. We are located in WEST VANCOUVER.
We are looking for someone to make a year's commitment as training is extensive. You will need to be able to attend an all-day consult, approximately every six weeks (on Fridays) We also have staff meetings every two weeks. Pay is negotiable.
Come join our fantastic team and work with our delightful son.
Interested?? Please contact Debra Jappy at (604) 913-0881 or email me at djappy@yahoo.com.

Peter J. Peters RoomWe hope that you can join us — a powerful, positive and enlightening presentation that will spread the message of Hope that ABA treatment brings…so take a break from the shopping, parties, planning and other holiday demands.
Dr. Glen Davies of ABLE Developmental Clinic will talk about the power and potential of ABA treatment. We are so fortunate to have someone with his vast experience with children diagnosed with autism available to speak to us. Dr. Davies' dedication and compassion to helping our kids is truly a blessing.
Janet O'Reilly, a mother who's son, Russell, was part of the Auton case will also be a presenter. Russell has long since completely lost his diagnosis after having ABA treatment, has no SEA, no special tutors or supports and in fact is not even aware that he once had Autism. Janet will share her truly inspirational journey from "diagnosis to recovery". Her son is now 12 years old and is fully mainstreamed both in school and sporting activities. Janet is an engaging speaker.
We believe that this presentation that will benefit everyone. All are welcome: Parents, grandparents, friends, teachers, therapists, judges, politicians and service providers. Please come out even if you don't live on the North Shore. Pass this information along to anyone you think could benefit from this session.
