    Re: pictures and flash cards

We used some good inexpensive sets from teaching stores (i.e. Teaching
Things in Burnaby), and we also found these web sites very useful:

    http://www.teachingtime.co.uk
    http://www.enchantedlearning.com
http://www.autismhandinhand.com/index.asp (this one is prepared by
    local people)

and of course, google search under images.

But if you want to save time, send you e-mail address and I will
    forward
to you all the pictures I found on the internet and used over the last
    two years.

    To Lis:

I used to buy "Object Labes" and "Action Labels" flash cards (as many other items for my child's treatment) from Teaching Things. They can be up to ten times cheaper than those you can buy from a "specialized store" and they are just as good.

You can see the Teaching Things web-site at:
    http://www.teachingthings.com/
I know of one Teaching Things store at 3831 Still Creek Ave (I hope you live in Vancouver area)

    Good luck

Thank you very much for your posts. They are very helpful to us who do not have much knowledge about the law.

    Hi All

I need information about Microsoft benefits coverage.

Since Mr. Stephen Sutherland stated in his post that Microsoft benefits cover the ABA treatment, I am entertaining the thought of working for them. My family would stay in Vancouver and I would work in Redmond (USA).

What I would like to know is:
    1. Do Microsoft benefits cover both consultant and therapist fees?
    2. Do I pay both US and Canadian taxes?

If anyone has information, could you please let me know?

    Attn: Rachel Notley

    Hi Rachel

So far, I have got all the material for my daughter's treatment from Teaching Things store. They have good and cheap stuff. A set of 100 flash cards (Action labels, Object labels etc) typically cost $11. The only problem with these cards is that they have the name of the object / action / feeling written below the picture so I had to cover the words with blank stickers.
    Their URL is http://www.teachingthings.com/
One of the stores is in Burnaby, at 3831 Still Creek Ave.

    I hope this helps

    Hi All

Does anyone know if there is a "Toy Library" in Vancouver? We are running an ABA program for our daughter and need to vary the toys used in the therapy. She easily gets bored with any new toy. If you know anything about such a library, please let me know. The contact information is:
    (604) 630-4068 (at work)
    (604) 444-7403 (at home) or
    nenadi@yahoo.com
    n_ivanovic@trillium.com

    Thanks
    Ned (Sophia's father)
