ABA SW worker – Surrey green timbers area

I know long shot. looking of for a ABA SW to work with son going into kindergarden this sept in the Surrey School District.

We are looking for someone either currently working in the Surrey School District or who has 1000 hours of home experience and who is interested in applying to work in the district to make a match with our son. (The 1000 hours is a requirement of the Surrey School District and non-negotiable).

Also to work in our home program ASAP

Our son is also hard of hearing and worker must be able to speak English clearly.

our 5yr old is delayed in his speech due to hard of hearing, loves to learn, smile on his face. loves trains and cars, and has just discovered the connection between the written word and spoken. his nick name for his mom is " pumpkin" he is a sponge and loves to learn and figure things out. He needs assistance in social skills, spoken language, transitions, and other kindergarden skills.

If you are interested or have any questions please email me at irbrown@shaw.ca thanks

Hi don't know if this is the right area or not.
My friend needs help. she is doing her Master thesis on adult siblings who have a sibling with autism. There is very little infomation that is Canadian based in this area. I don't know if anyone could help or be able to point me or her in the right direction. Because of the UBC ethics rules, she can't directly ask people or directly post anything on a website and have to have a third party (either a person or an organization) distribute the poster/ask people
    to participate.

    Here is her info
hi my name is Laura McNamara Filiposki i am taking my masters in social work focusing on Autism here at UBC. For my thesis I'm recruiting people over 19 who have a sibling with autism. The only requirements is that they be willing to have a recorded conversation with me about what it was like growing up with their brother or sister with autism. It would only take about one hour and I would travel to them for the interview.

Feel free to give me a call if you have any questions.
    Thanks :-)
