    *****PLAYDATES***** – Port Coquitlam Area

Looking for an ABA tutor/therapist that would be interested in running structured playdates with my son and a typical classmate once a week, or even every two weeks on a regular basis.

We are in the midst of training up 2 new therapists, so our senior is busy with training and trying to keep other programs afloat. So our playdates unfortunately have fallen by the waist side.

Looking for someone that is fun, energetic, creative and loves to play.

If this interests you or for more information, please email me at shotra@shaw.ca or call Sheila at 604-552-3810.

    Thanks,
    Sheila

    Experienced ABA Therapist Needed

We are looking for an experienced ABA therapist who would like to add some extra hours to their schedule.

We are in the process of training 2 new therapists, but unfortunately due to training our son has lost some therapy hours, so we are looking for someone who could come in and pick up our current programs quickly with a bit of training, so that we could increase our son's therapy time.

Shifts would ideally be after school, or early evenings or weekends. Our son is 10 years old and we live in Port Coquitlam.

If this interests you, or for more information please email me shotra@shaw.ca or call Sheila at 604-552-3810.

    Thanks,
    Sheila

Hi, regarding the time-released Melatonin, I know GNC in Canada carries it but it is their own house brand.

Not sure if brand matters for you or not, our pediatrician has recommended that we only use the Twinlab brand, and unfortunately I have only been able to get that from the states.

    Hope that helps, Sheila

    Hi,

Just wondering if anybody has any suggestions for popular, cool, hip, games, toys, videos, etc. that 8 year old boys are into these days, that might be interesting for an autistic child. We are looking for some more ideas for our play program.

Thanks, feel free to email me directly at shotra@shaw.ca or post on the chat board.

I also have GBC Creative laminator, from Staples. I have found it very useful. You can laminate letter and legal size documents.

I have used Mac Tac before and found it not as durable and more flimsy, also not waterproof, when taking items to the bath or pool. It depends what you are using it for. Also not as shiny and vibrant as laminate.

We use ours for PEC symbols, which get handled frequently, and also for therapy materials.

Also if you are laminating items, I would recommend cutting them out before you laminate them, this way you get a border around the item. If you laminate the whole sheet and then cut them after laminating there is no edge of laminate and they come apart alot easier.
