    Hello everyone,

Does anyone know if autistic children are eligible for the extra reduction in property tax.

Sorry if this topic has already been discussed, but I searched for it in the archives and did not find it.

    Thanks,
    Amr Hafez

    Hello Everyone,

We have just relocated to Vancouver with our 7 year old autistic child. Currently we are living in a temporary accomodation, and are considering moving into a house in the port coquitlam area. We will be setting a home-bases ABA program for our child.

We would like to ask families in the area (or anyone with experience) about how easy/difficult is it to recruit therpaists for that area. Our concern is that if it is not a central location, therpaists would tend to avoid it. Is our concern founded?

If you live in the areas of Port Coquitlam/Moody, please let us know about your experience.

    Thank you,

    Amr

    Hello Everyone,

Does anyone have experience in claiming medical expenses for your in-home ABA program if you are using a U.S. consultant (fromLIFE).
Are those consultants qualified to make the prescription Revenue Canad needs, and are the expenses that you pay to your non-Canadian consultant deductible?

    Thanks,
    Amr

    Hello everyone,

I am a father of a 7-year old autistic child and we are considering a move to Vancouver.
I am gathering information about ABA (Lovaas-style) services that may be available in the city.
There are several places who claim to be providing ABA. I have heard of the ABLE clinic, CBI consultants, Laurel Division and Tiny Talkers. Does anyone have experience/information about any of those places?
I have heard positive feedback about Early Autism Project. More info about that and other local providers that may be out there is highly appreciated.
    Please reply to hafez_amr@yahoo.com

    Tanks a lot!
