ABA SW Position (SD36) – Fall 2017
We’re located in SOUTH SURREY, looking for a dynamic and energetic ABA-SW to provide full time support for our 11 year old son with high-functioning ASD, entering grade 6 in September 2017. Ideally, you’re an ABA-SW already hired by the school district, or you’re a BI that is very close to completing the 1000 documented hours of home ABA experience required by SD36.
Our son is bright, friendly and inquisitive. He likes Math, Coding, CAD Design, Robotics and of course, video games. He enjoys going to restaurants (he’s a huge sushi and Tmmies fan), swimming, hiking, mini-golf, ten-pin bowling and building puzzles. Both home and school programs are under the supervision of our highly respected BCBA Nathan Searle. Looking to fill this position immediately, with training starting once hired in order to familiarize with our son and in preparation for start of school in September 2017. Sessions will be once weekly 2-4hr (we’re flexible to work with you, after school and/or weekends). Require at least a 1 year commitment, with definite extension for the right candidate.
Ideal candidate should be creative and physically active, as an exercise program is part of this student’s home and school programming. You must also be passionate and excited to move our programs along and ensure they are taking place at school. Wage will depend on experience and training considerations. Salary increases commensurate with contribution and performance. You must have a fun, positive attitude, exceptional play skills and natural leadership ability. Requirements: minimum 1yr commitment, preferably 2 yrs – must attend team meetings – be reliable
We can’t wait to welcome you to our fantastic team!
