Hey There!!! Yooo-Hooo!!!! Might you just be the one?
Looking for a dedicated, patient, responsible and creative person to join our well established, home based, Lovas, ABA program.
Our almost-four year old daughter has mild autism, and is *very* verbal, affectionate, and fun.
Her therapy is fascinating and her progress is swift. We live in central Vancouver near Main and Broadway.
Previous experience with autistic children would be an asset but is not required. We will also be interested in individuals with a psychology or special education background. Initial training will be provided by our senior therapist along with follow up sessions.
Salary is negotiable based on experience. Applicants should have strong play skills, be good multi-taskers, have lots of energy and patience. You need to be able to commit to
two or three, 3 hour shifts a week, attend bi-weekly team progress meetings on Tuesdays evenings, periodic workshops, and also be committed to the team for at least one year. Please e-mail resumes to scissorhappy@shaw.ca and call us at: (604)709-6003.
Looking Forward To Hearing From You-

Cathy FitzhughParticipanthi FEATers,
looking for a source for good images for a new program we have. does anyone know where on the internet we might have an easy time finding these sorts of images?
or, does anyone in vancouver/burnaby have a set they don't need anymore?
"OK, so another section of flash cards (pictures) we will need are action cards:
If either of you can find pictures or flash cards of these actions, that will be great. We need a picture of one action per card, the picture should be clear, only one to two persons on the card, depending on the action ( i.e., brushing vs. throwing). I wrote some of the actions with items that are ideally paired with the action which children commonly see."thanks SO much everyone-
