Looking for information on types of funding in BC to put towards Eaton Arrowsmith School.
My basic impression is that because the school does NOT follow BC Curriculum no funding is available, but if someone knows otherwise please let me know.
Or if there are grants we can apply for that could help.
The school is a 'GROUP 3 INDEPENDENT SCHOOL'
Monitored by BC Office of the Inspector of Independent Schools
Member of the Federation of Independent Schools Associations (FISA)
I have info on putting this thru our annual Taxes under Medical so would appreciate any additional tax benefit info –
Also any info on if/how Autism Funding can be utilized – either the $18,000 a public school receives for students or the
    $6,000 available for Behaviour Interventions.

    Thanks in Advance,
    Sandy

Help finding BCs & BIs who will service Langley.

I am looking for a B/C and several BIs who will service Langley and has experience with school age children (9year old boy) w/ PDD-NOS. We would like these individuals to have experience with scholastic challenges (dyslexia/self-esteem thus not wanting to work at school or at home on educational work), as well as behaviour at home – disrespectful, rude, defiant towards parents and sibling. Please send your recommendations (or comments on who to avoid) to:
    sandrakay@shaw.ca

    Best Regards,
    Sandy

    Hi all,
We're new to ASD. Our 9 year old son has recently been diagnosed – PDD-NOS. We're looking for the following advice:
1- a pediatrician in Langley (or close) who has a good understanding of ASD
2- a BC who is experienced with older children (9 years) w/ behaviour challenges, ADHD and dyslexia -let's just say learing brings on resistance. Oh, yea – major sibling rivalry too. We've been given the name of Dr. Sara White – any possitive/negative feedback?
    3- BI's w/ experience w/ 9year olds (I'm worried to hire someone 'green' as I feel @ 9 years old we're starting really late).
4- a tax accountant who can help w/ the disability tax credit
5- any advice on the process of getting started on this journey is much appreciated.
