    Hi,

Hoping for some input with regard to anyone using a Vancouver area Pediatrician familiar with Autism that is "open" minded with regard to the biomedical (diet/supplements) treatments.

The pediatrician that we went to for our diagnosis referred to dietary intervention as "snake oil". We are certainly not convinced that it is THE thing to do, but we definitely think we would be negligent if we didn't at least look into a little.

    Any and all input welcomed.

    Thank you

North Vancouver family looking for input with regard to consultants.

Our almost 3 year old (2 years 10 months) son has started the process (has two of the three needed clinician letters) but has not as of yet received an official diagnosis of autism. The last step is our Psych assessment which is not until the end of this month.

In an effort to be as pro-active as possible while waiting for our next appointment, we would like to ask for any and all input (from parents, relatives, professionals and anyone else with an opinion :-) etc.) as to who the "great" consultants in the lower mainland are, regardless of whether or not they are currently accepting new clients. At this point we are open to exploring any and all philosophies or program styles.

We would also love to hear about any consultants that may not be so good.

Of particular interest would be to hear about consultants that are known to be currently working with families on the North Shore.

    please contact us at onedea@shaw.ca

    Thank you
