What an excellent letter from David Chan, & Jennifer Monson, they truly are the heros of their autistic children.
The glory thing I agree is not what this is all about–if anyone should get the glory its our children, and what they go through each day! Its not about competition of parents–ITS OUR CHILDREN
that are the real heros! It makes me sick parents coming in with competition on who is the greatest one of all.I like the quotation also from Theodore Roosevelt:
quotation by an America president regarding
the issue of glory also: It is awesome!"Far better it is to dare mighty things, to win
glorious triumphs, even though checkered by
failure, than to take rank with those poor spirits
who neither enjoy nor suffer too much,
because they live in the gray twilight that
knows not victory nor defeat"Theodore Roosevelt

PS We have NO idea what our children go through each day with Autism! The victory goes to our children.
Linda CucekMemberDear Jennifer,
Thank you, for your sweet compliment, I agree that people instead of talking about what they are going to do should do it and than we would make big changes for our autistic children.
There is a old saying you can walk the walk but you have to talk the talk also to get things accomplished. Thanks, Jennifer!

Linda CucekMemberThank you very much Barbara Rodrigues for the compliment and healthy prospective of your letter.
It definitely is for our children and all the children, its not for who gets the glory out of getting the Lovaas treatment.
Thank you, Barbara, you are a very sweet person.

Linda CucekMemberDear Anonymous:
Sabrina Freeman, is taking all the credit for getting the treatment for the
Lovaas treatment for the older autistics,
Melody, is the first person to really recognize what I have done & you scold her for saying thank you Linda Cucek, this is really pathetic!Sabrina Freeman, had it on her auton case in 2000; for all the kids of BC;
but if it weren't for me publicizing this fact, repeatedly, in the media and newspapers, it would
never have melo dramatically caught the attention of the Judge, and consequently
the court of appeals would not have ruled that age restriction was a new violation of the BC Government. When people do so much to help others they get over looked by the fact of what was accomplished in the process. Sabrina, had it all along back in 2000; where would she be without me?
Besides "Rain man", came here because of Honorable Linda Reid, to help my son James Cucek and all the older children of British Columbia; yes Sabrina is to be applauded for the auton case but if it weren't for me being in the media and newspapers for 18 years and giving 18 years of my life to wanting to help James and other older children get the treatment where would Sabrina be right now? Easy how we forget and not even a thank you from what all I have done, not even from Sabrina! I think we should be thankful for what we have and appreciate other people that have sacrificed a long time to get the treatment for older children.Linda Cucek James Mom
Linda CucekMemberDoes anyone remember when Linda Reid replied "she is meeting all the needs of autistic children and their families"?
Please let me know when she said this?

Linda CucekMemberLinda Reid, promised Stan and I, that after the Autism 2002 conference she would look after seeing James Cucek who is 18 years old get the proper Lovaas Treatment (ABA). She still hasn't answered any of my letters or emails its going on two weeks now.
She has not taken care of all ages this is not a true statement.
The reason Fran and Kim Peek, original people movie for "Rain man", was based on, was present for Autism 2002, was to advocate for James and all the other James' who are in need of the "Lovaas" therapy. Also, I invited them on the behalf of Principal Dan Derpak, who is a wonderful principal, to have the Peeks speak at the Port Moody High School, it was taped on City TV, the anchorman was Peter Clemente, he did a terriffic job, he showed Kim Peek and his talents plus showed James before he was drugged how great a piano player he is, after being in the hospital crawling on the floor and how important it is for the government to fund James also the Lovaas treatment.
ABSOLUTELY NO, Linda Reid, is not helping all the children thats why I had this happen for James with the Peeks. I have pictures of both occassions if anyone wants them. My email is:

Linda CucekMemberIn regards to the auton case:
1. What is meant by $20,000 damage award?
2 What is the deadline for government appeal if
this decision goes to the Supreme Court of
Canada?3. When will the government have to start funding
the $60,000 for the Lovaas treatment per year? This is very wonderful that the Auton case was won, now I know we will win for all our children -young/older but we must stay vigalant at all times and never give up. It was a real awesome experience meeting my friends Fran and Kim Peek,
who are based on the true story "Rain man". Kim came here from the states to advocate for James who is 18 years old, and Kim is 51, he has had ABA treatment & Lovaas when younger and similar situation to my son James-only James is a savant in music and Kim with numbers. They are truly special people for the father Fran to stick with Kim for 51 years, truly a special father.I am very proud of all of us parents that have tried so hard to make this happen! I won't give up until I see every young and older autistic get this Lovaas treatment. At the Autism 2002-Linda Reid, promised to meet with Stan and me, to start setting up a ABA-Lovaas treatment for James, she hasn't got back to me as yet.
