Sharon BaxterParticipant
Looking for an experienced Behavior Interventionist in South Surrey, after school. Will consider candidates that have completed Special Education Diploma (SEA) from a recognized institution and are interested in broadening their skills. Equivalent combination of experience and or education will be considered.
Candidates will be supervised by a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst, Sharon Baxter.
Working with my child you will be required to follow our home program which is a combination of inhome and community activities. Must be comfortable working with a service dog (training will be provided). Some of the outside activities include going for walks, swimming or going to the park. Candidates should therefore be physically fit. My child has had a Home based team for 8 years and is therefore very accustomed to ABA therapy. We are told it is very rewarding work as my child is very responsive to our home based program.
Hours worked on our home team count toward the 1000 hours of required time, toward being considered for employment with the Surrey school district as an ABA assistant.
Candidates must be able to commit to working with our home team for a minimum of one year. Our home is close to transit and so driving is not required but preferred.
Interested candidates, please submit a resume and cover letter, clearly outlining your experience.
