I got the information packet in the mail today as well. $1,667 seems to be the magic number…well at least for the interim dates of June 2002 up until March 2003. So it looks to me like a definite attempt at standardisation. It says somewhere though that if you have a current contract that you can maintain it or enhance it. (whatever that means) Anyways, I'm calling my social worker first thing tommorrow.
Our son is 2.5 years and we have no previous funding at all. In fact, we are only starting with our ABA therapy at the end of this month. From the looks of it, the money won't be enough to cover for all expenses but my family and I are simply grateful that there is some tangible support out there, eh? :-) Every little bit helps.
