Status: Regence BlueShield’s blanket exclusion of neurodevelopmental therapies violates the mental health parity act. If neurodevelopmental therapies are medically necessary to treat mental disorders (and the contract provides coverage for medical and surgical services), Regence BlueShield must provide coverage for the therapies.

Status: Order overruling objections, adopting report and recommendation and granting in part plaintiffs motion for attorney’s fees and costs.
